Halloween fundraiser brings in over £200 for Diabetes UK

Volunteers from Kingston, Open Spaces and Living Spaces came together to participate in a charity fun run on Wednesday 19 June 2024.
The event, organised by The Chronicle Sunshine Fund, saw enthusiastic runners embarking on a 5k route along Newcastle’s historic quayside.
Kingston donated entry fees for the 13-strong group of volunteers – Phil Atkinson, Zara Denton, Christine Doherty, Rachel Finney, Claire Hall, Martin Knotts, Rebecca Longstaff, Steven Lucy, Joanne Park, Adam Storey, Becky Wanden, Hannah Wilson and Lisa Younger.
Well done to all for volunteering your time in support of such an amazing local cause!
This year was the 21st anniversary of the annual charity fun run, which continues to grow in popularity and support from businesses and individuals from across the region.
All proceeds go towards The Chronicle Sunshine Fund, and their important work to advance the lives of children with disabilities in the north east – thesunshinefund.org
