Read ArticleProperty management specialist, Kingston, has appointed Paul Carter as its new Managing Director to drive forward the continual growth of the business.
Paul took up his new role this month at the Newcastle-based company, firmly established as one of the North of England’s leading leasehold block and estate management firms.
Kingston manages a wide range of developments across the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire regions with further growth into other geographical areas anticipated in the future.
It also has a residential estate management arm, Open Spaces, and an award-winning estate and lettings agent, Living Spaces.
Paul succeeds Colin Ord as Managing Director, who will stay on at Kingston in a part-time capacity as Business Development Director to utilise his 20 years of expertise within the business to help support further growth.
Paul said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead Kingston as we take the business forward with such a strong team across all areas of the commercial business – Kingston, Open Spaces and Living Spaces.
“The aim is to push on with our growth as we move into new geographical areas, while continuing to provide excellent services to our clients and ensuring we stay as leaders within our industry.
“Our focus is on sustainable growth, and it is essential that we continue to develop and improve our service offering while keeping our clients and customers at the heart of what we do.
“It is an exciting time for the commercial company with a very encouraging pipeline of future business. That will generate more income and allow us to provide further support to the Bernicia Foundation.”
Kingston, which employs approximately 100 staff, is the commercial arm of the Bernicia Group.
Bernicia Chief Executive John Johnston said: “Paul is a driven and committed leader with a proven track record of delivering new growth at Kingston in his previous role as assistant director.
“His 18 years’ experience at Kingston means he is passionate about the business with a deep understanding off all its facets and is the perfect appointment to succeed Colin as managing director.
“Colin has made Kingston the success story it is today, recognised as the leading firm in the sector in the North of England.
“I look forward to seeing Paul’s new vision for the business being put into operation with all the benefits that will bring for Kingston’s clients.”
Paul has played a key role in attracting clients and generating new business and was instrumental in overseeing the expansion of Kingston’s estate management division, branded as Open Spaces in 2021.
Kingston’s profits are gift aided to Bernicia, and in turn the Bernicia Foundation, to support community projects and initiatives.
